Sweet Potato or Regular Fries - your choice!!!
I will have to add pictures to this, but my kids absolutely LOVE both and it is actually good for you!!!! We using coconut oil for almost everything now
Steps
- 1
Peel four large potatoes or 4 large sweet potatoes (I get my sweet potatoes from Costco).
- 2
Cut them up into your desired shape width. It really is up to you. I've cut them thin like chips or cut them like regular fries.
- 3
Warm up 2 tbsp of coconut oil - I melt it in the microwave. It smells like heaven lol. But don't be weirded out if you've never used it before to cook. The fries will not taste like coconut. Trust me I don't like coconut.
- 4
In a bowl, put the coconut oil, 1/2 clove of garlic and toss the fires in this.
- 5
Lay out on a pan evenly. And just from experience, make sure it's a non stick pan. So if you need to use two pans, use two.
- 6
Cook in the over at 350 for 12 mins for one side and 12 mins for other side. This part is really determined by you how crispy or soft you want them. You can even flip them more.
- 7
Warm up the last 1 tbsp of coconut oil and add the other half of clove of garlic. This you will be pouring over the fries.
- 8
Pour the oil and garlic over and season (to your discretion) with sea salt. And enjoy. My kids love these and I don't tell them they are healthy.
