Ingredients

  1. 1 tbspolive oil
  2. 1/2 cupfinely diced onion
  3. 1/4 cupfinely diced celery
  4. 1/4 cupfinely diced carrot
  5. 1/2 tbsp.minced garlic
  6. 1/4 cupred wine
  7. 2 1/2 cupsbeef broth
  8. 1/4 cupFRONT STREET HEAT
  9. Flour, salt and pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    In a Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, celery, carrot and garlic. Cook until soft, approximately 5-7 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add red wine and cook an additional 2 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add beef broth and FRONT STREET HEAT. Let simmer for 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    With an immersion blender or regular blender, blend gravy until smooth.

  5. 5

    Make a roux with flour and water. Stir into gravy until desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper.
