Ingredients

  1. Split black gram with skin soaked overnight 1 cup
  2. to tasteSalt
  3. teaspoonTurmeric powder1/4
  4. pieceGinger julienne2 one-inch
  5. 2 tablespoonsoil
  6. pinchAsafoetidaa
  7. 1 tspcumin seeds
  8. Onion chopped 1 medium
  9. 2-3Green chillies chopped
  10. Tomatoes chopped 2 medium
  11. 1/2 teaspoonRed chilli powder
  12. Garam masala powder 1/2 tspn
  13. 2-3 podsGarlic
  14. Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  15. Achari masala as per taste
  16. 1/2 tspKalongi
  17. 1/2 tspSaunf
  18. 1/2 tspMustard seeds
  19. 1/2 tspRai
  20. 1/2 tspMethi Dana

Steps

  1. 1

    Take oil in a pan

    Add all achari things
    mustard seeds
    Rai
    Methi seed
    Saunf and kalongi
    Thoda bhuno

  2. 2

    Then add chopped onions n ginger
    Add little readymade Achar ka masala...I used Bedekar mango pickle powder

  3. 3

    When done add green chilli n tomatoes
    Now add boiled dal n mix gently

  4. 4

    For Dal
    Soak overnight
    Boil but see it shudnt get overdone

  5. 5

    Ek ek Dana Khila rahe
    I boiled in an open pan with turmeric powder, salt & hing
    When it was done I sieved n threw extra water

  6. 6

    Mix tadka and boiled daal before serving
