No the sugar listed 3 times is not a mistake as you'll see.

Start by dumping the first of your 2.5 cup sugar batches into the glass container

Add the yeast package and well as the 2 cans of peaches.

Stir the mixture till all the sugar and yeast are well blended. and loosely cover the container.

Stir daily for 10 days.

On day 10 add the cans of fruit cocktail & pineapple. Also add 2.5 cups of sugar. Stir and cover.

Stir daily for 10 days

On day 20 drain the juice from the maraschino cheries and slice them in half.

Add the sliced, drained cherries to the mix as well as the final 2.5 cups of sugar. Again stir and cover.

On day 30 your fruit is ready. Drain off the juice BUT DO NOT THROW IT OUT!

With 1.5 cups of the juice you can start the whole process again. Give some to a friend as a starter as well
