Tip flour into bowl and put yeast one side of bowl and salt on the other then put the butter in the middle add 3 quarters of the water and turn with fingers

Coat work surface lightly with flour and knead for 5-10mins work through the initial wet stage untill it's smooth and soft

Put into mixing bowl and cover with clean tea towel in airing cupboard to prove for two hours

Scrape out of the bowl and shape into a ball by folding inwards repeatedly till all air is out then shape into a smooth cob

Put the dough onto a baking tray and place in a clean plastic bag and put back into the airing cupboard for another hour till risen set oven to 180 Celsius

Take out of the airing cupboard and remove plastic bag and dust top or loaf with flour and slash deeply put into the oven for 20mins
- 7
Take out and turn upside down and tap bottom of the loaf it should sound hollow that will mean it's done... Leave on wire rack to cool down then... Enjoy
