Ingredients

30 minutes
5 servings
  1. 1/3 cupboiled peas
  2. 1 cupmashed paneer (cottage cheese)
  3. 1 teaspooncumin seeds (jeera)
  4. 1/2 cupfinely chopped onions
  5. 1/2 cupchopped tomatoes
  6. 1 teaspoonginger garlic paste
  7. 1/2 teaspoonturmeric powder (haldi)
  8. 1 teaspoonpaneer masala
  9. 1 teaspoonfinely chopped green chillies
  10. 1 teaspoonfinely chopped coriander leaves
  11. 2bay leaves
  12. 2green cardamom
  13. to tasteSalt

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Heat a pan and add the cumin seeds, green cardamom and bay leaves.

  2. 2

    When the seeds splutter, add onions and sauté on a high flame for 1 to 2 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add the tomatoes, 2 tablespoon of water, mix well and cook on a slow flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring continuously.

  4. 4

    Add the paneer masala, turmeric powder, green chillies and 1 teaspoon of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.

  5. 5

    Add the paneer, peas, salt, coriander and 1 tbsp of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Switch off the flame.

  6. 6

    Serve hot with naan, chapati or parantha.
