Ingredients

3/4 cupshortening
1 cupgranulated sugar
1/4 cupmolasses
1beaten egg
1 tspground cloves
2 cupall-purpose flour
2 tspbaking soda
1/4 tspsalt ( i use sea salt)
1 tbspground ginger
1 tbspground cinnamon
1/2 cupgranulated sugar to roll balls in

Steps

Cream shortening and sugar add molasses and egg. Beat well.

Sift dry ingredients. Add slowly to creamed mixture. Mix well.

Roll into balls and roll into sugar. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375°F for 10 min.
