Ingredients

  1. 200 grmsyellow peas(soaked atlest for 4 hours)
  2. 1 tablespoondhaniya powder
  3. 2 teaspoonjeera powder
  4. 1 teaspoonginger paste
  5. 1tablespoontomato puree
  6. 1 teaspoonred chilli powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoonturmeric powder
  8. 1 tablespoonroasted and grinded masala mix
  9. 1bay leaf
  10. 1 teaspoonwhole jeera
  11. 2-3green chillies chopped
  12. To tastesalt and sugar
  13. As neededwater
  14. As neededoil

Steps

  1. 1

    Take s pressure cooker and cook the peas adding water,salt and turmeric powder till it gets boiled well

  2. 2

    Add oil in a heated pan temper the whole jeera,bay leaf and chopped chillies

  3. 3

    Now saute the ginger paste for a minute

  4. 4

    Add all the powder masalas,salt and mix well

  5. 5

    Add tomatoes saute well till it becomes soft

  6. 6

    Pour in the boiled peas and mix well, allow it to boil

  7. 7

    Add sugar and the grinded masala powder mix well

  8. 8

    Yellow peas ghoogni is ready

  9. 9
