Ingredients

  1. 400 gramssweet potatoes deskined and cubed
  2. 1.5tspn of sendha salt
  3. 1tspn red chilli powder
  4. 2green chillies chopped roughly
  5. 2 tablespoonchopped coriander leaves
  6. 1large tomato diced
  7. 1 tablespoonroasted cumin seeds
  8. 2 tablespooncurd beaten
  9. 1 tablespoonoil

Steps

    Make a paste by combining tomatoes and green chillies

  2. 2

    Heat oil in a pressure cooker

  3. 3

    Add cumin seeds and let the seeds splutter

  4. 4

    Add the tomato paste next, followed by dry spices (except garam masala) and salt

  5. 5

    Mix well and sauté on Low heat till masalas and oil separate

  6. 6

    Add the potatoes next and mix well

  7. 7

    Add 1/2 cup water and pressure cook for upto 1 whistle

  8. 8

    Switch off the heat and let the curry cook in the steam

  9. 9

    After a few minutes open the lid and add the whisked curd

  10. 10

    Mix well and transfer the curry in a serving bowl

  11. 11

    Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with pooris/chapatis/paranthas made for fasting
