  1. 1 cupPeanuts / Mungfali
  2. 1 cupMilk
  3. 2 tspClarified Butter / Desi ghee
  4. 1/4 cupSugar
  5. 1/4 tspCardamom Powder / elaichi powder
  6. Saffron / kesar for garnishing as required

    Take 1 cup of Peanuts (Mungfali) in a pan and roast for 5 – 7 Min.

  2. 2

    After roasting Peanuts let it cool down completely.

  3. 3

    Then in a blender add roasted Peanuts and grind it into coarse powder.

  4. 4

    The consistency should be roughly grinded keeping Peanut bites.

  5. 5

    Heat 2 tsp of Clarified Butter (Ghee) in a pan.

  6. 6

    Add grinded Peanuts and stir continuously on low flame until golden brown colour.

  7. 7

    Then add 1 cup of Milk into the pan and stir continuously.

  8. 8

    Cover the lid and simmer on low flame until Peanuts soak all the Milk.

  9. 9

    Open the lid and stir in between repeatedly.

  10. 10

    Once Milk gets soaked, add ¼ cup of Sugar and stir well.

  11. 11

    Add ¼ tsp of Cardamom (Elaichi) powder into the Halwa and stir continuously.

  12. 12

    Stir Halwa for more 2 – 3 Min to let Sugar dissolve completely.

  13. 13

    Peanut Halwa is now ready to serve hot and garnish with Saffron (Kesar).
