Steps
- 1
Begin with large pot and begin to cook ground beef on medium heat . Add diced garlic, onions, celery, green and red peppers, pepperoni and mushrooms into the pot with the ground beef.
- 2
once beef is cooked use the pot lid to create a barrier and drain any excess grease.
- 3
Continue to cook by adding two cans of diced tomatoes (DO NOT DRAIN)
- 4
Let that simmer on low for 40-60 minutes. (the longer it simmers, the better the sauce to tastes). Throughout the simmering process, if you think the sauce is not thick enough add a small can of tomatoe paste to thicken.
- 5
Use a large roaster pan and put a layer of sauce on the bottom. Put a layer of oven ready noodles on top.
- 6
Put another layer of sauce over the first layer of noodles. Then add tablespoons full blops of cottage cheese all over the sauce layer. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese all over. Add 4 cups of mozzerella cheese all over (I like it cheesy).
- 7
Continue the layer process as stated above. Cover and bake for 45 minutes on 375°F. Then uncover and bake for 15 minutes more. Let sit for 10 min, serve with garlic bread and enjoy!
