Ingredients

  1. 50 gButter or oil
  2. 25 gOnion, chopped
  3. Rice, long grain
  4. 200 mlWhite stock prefarably chicken stock
  5. Salt, mill pepper

Steps

    Place the half butter or oil into a small sauteuse. Add the onion

  2. 2

    Cook gently without colouring for 2-3 minutes. Add the rice

  3. 3

    Cook gently without colouring for 2-3 minutes

    Add twice the amount of stock to rice

  5. 5

    Season, cover with buttered paper, bring to the boil

  6. 6

    Place in a hot oven(230-250 degrees) for approximately 15 minutes, until cooked

  7. 7

    Remove immediately into a cool sauteuse

  8. 8

    Carefully mix in the remaining butter or oil with a two prolonged fork

  9. 9

    Correct the seasoning abd serve
