Ingredients

  1. 2 cupscorn meal
  2. 3 cupsbuttermilk
  3. 1 tablespoonbutter melted over hot water
  4. 2eggs
  5. 1 teaspoonssalt
  6. 1/2 teaspoonssoda
  7. 2 teaspoonsbaking powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix as for any batter sift dry ingredients

  2. 2

    Add beaten eggs

  3. 3

    Slowly add milk beating thoroughly

  4. 4

    Add butter last

  5. 5

    Grease heated pan and bake at 375 for 25 minutes.

  6. 6

    One cup of flour may be used with 1 cup of cornmeal.
