Here is another traditional tea-time snack that is healthy & wholesome. “muthi” means fist in gujarati, and the dish is named such because the mixture is shaped into cylindrical rolls using the fist.

Here is another traditional tea-time snack that is healthy & wholesome. “muthi” means fist in gujarati, and the dish is named such because the mixture is shaped into cylindrical rolls using the fist.
Steps

In a bowl take oats, bajra flour, wheat flour, besan, poi leaves, garlic green chilli paste, add in all masalas, salt, lemon juice, yogurt/oil & combine everything together to form a dough. make a soft dough out of it. Taste dough at this point & add something more if required

Grease hands with oil and shape dough into cylindrical shapes

Arrange rolls on greased sieve & steam in steamer for 15-20 minutes. insert knife to check it's doneness

Remove, cool slightly & cut into 12mm slices & keep aside

For tempering heat oil in non stick kadhai/wok, crackle mustard seeds, add in sesame seeds, asafoetida & saute for few seconds. Add in muthiyas/ steamed dumplings & saute on medium flame for 2-3 minutes. Serve immidiately garnished with coriander leaves. Done...Enjoy making
