Ingredients

  1. 100 gmchana dal... washed and soaked in water for 30-40 minutes
  2. 1kaccha papita almost 300gm cut into 1 inch in sqare size after peeling out the outer green skin
  3. 1medium size potato...de skinned and cut into small pieces
  4. 1large onion chopped
  5. 3medium size tomato chopped
  6. 2tspGinger garlic paste
  7. 1Bay leaf cut into half
  8. 1/2 tspzeera as required
  9. 1/3 tspcoriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, haldi powder 1/2tsp each
  10. 1 tbspCooking oil
  11. Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

Steps

  1. 1

    Pressure cook papita, dal and potato, bay leaf, haldi powder and salt with water to 1 whistle.

    Take a wok and heat oil.... crackle zeera seeds.

    Fry the chopped onion till translucent

  4. 4

    Add all the masala both wet and dry along with chopped tomato and saute in low medium flame till the oil separated.

    Now open the cooker and mix the boiled dal veggies with masala in kadai. Bring to boil.

    The delicious subzi is ready to serve. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Eat with Rice, Roti, Parathas, Poori.
