After making Kung Pao Chicken last time and finding it successful and perfect with rice, I decided to try stir-fried chicken with scallions again a week later... A main dish needs to have meat!

Ingredients

  • 150 gramschicken breast
  • 1 stalkscallion
  • 1 clovegarlic
  • 1/2red chili pepper
  • 1 tablespoonolive oil
  • 2 tablespoonssoy sauce
  • 1 tablespoonrice wine
  • 1 tablespoongranulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoonwater
  • 2 tablespoonscornstarch (for marinating chicken)
  • 1 tablespoonrice wine (for marinating chicken)
  • 1 tablespoonsalt (for marinating chicken)

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Heat the pan, then add olive oil and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.

    Add the chili slices and the white part of the scallion, and continue to stir-fry over low heat.

    Add the marinated chicken pieces and stir-fry quickly over high heat until the surface of the chicken turns white.

    Add the seasonings (soy sauce, rice wine, granulated sugar, water) and stir-fry the chicken pieces until they are well-flavored.

    Finally, add the green part of the scallion and stir-fry briefly until slightly cooked. Reduce the sauce until it thickens, then serve.
