This is a typical Bengali fish curry which is easy and simple to prepare yet tasty.
Steps

Marinate the fish with salt and turmeric powder and keep aside

Heat oil in a pan add fish pieces and shallow fry from both sides of it

Add nigella seeds and green chilli

Saute a while adding salt and turmeric powder

Add red chilli powder and mix well

Add water to your desire and allow it to boil

Add the fish and cook over low flame for 5-6 minutes

Hilsha curry is ready
