Chicken Biryani is a very popular Indian recipe around the world. Here first chicken is cooked with spices and then layered with fine basmati rice. It is a tasty, aromat and flavourful dish.

Wash and soak rice for 15 minutes.

Cook the rice with salt, green chilli, whole garam masalas and kalounji until 80% done.

Sieve the cooked rice and spread on a large tray for drying.

Heat ghee in a pan. Add the onions batch by batch.

Fry the onions until golden brown.

Keep them aside.

Marinade the chicken with yogurt, salt, turmeric, ginger garlic paste, biryani masala, some mint leaves for at least half an hour.

Heat ghee in a pan. Add the chicken pieces and cook until full done and water gets dry.

Now take a heavy bottomed kadai.

Add some ghee at the bottom.

Layer with rice. Put some kesar milk, Coriander mint leaves, browned onions and chicken over the rice layer.

Again layer with rice.

Continue until both rice and Chicken fully used.

Sprinkle some kewra water and ghee over it.

Seal the lid with atta mixture and cook in low flame for 20 minutes.

Serve with raita, onion rings and enjoy endlessly.
