Ingredients

  1. 1 cupYellow lentil
  2. 1 cupBottle gaurd (cube shaped cutting)
  3. 1Brinjal medium sized (finely chopped)
  4. 2Tomato medium sized (roughly chopped)
  5. 2 tablespoonsTamarind pulp
  6. 1 teaspoonTurmeric powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoonRed chilli powder
  8. 1.5 tablespoonsSambhar masala
  9. 1 tablespoonsOil -
  10. 1 teaspoonMustard seeds
  11. 1 teaspoonCumin seeds
  12. 1Onion medium sized (finely chopped)
  13. to tasteSalt salt
  14. 5Curry leaves

Steps

  1. 1

    Take a cooker add daal then add bottle gaurd, tomato, brinjal, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and 2glass water.

    Cook till 4-5 whistle.

  3. 3

    After 5 whistle turn off the flame and keep it to cool completely.

  4. 4

    Take a tadka pan add oil then add cumin seeds, mustard seeds saute then add onion fry for 1min then add curry leaves and sambhar masala turn off the flame.

  5. 5

    Add the Tadka in sambhar then add tamarind pulp mix it well.

  6. 6

    Maa ki pasand Sambhar is ready serve it with chawl.
