#mothers'day
Odupale is a traditional Mangalore recipe.
It is so tasty and easy breakfast. Me learnt it from my mother. My mother usually making this on wooden heat stove. Which gives a nice smoky flavor. The taste is really extinct by using coconut oil. I made it on gas stove, so couldn't reach enough satisfaction. It is really very good recipe I learnt from her, thank you so much my mother.

Ingredients

  1. 1 cupDosa rice
  2. 1 cupGrated coconut
  3. to tasteSalt
  4. as neededWater
  5. 1/4 cupCoconut oil for drizzle
  6. 1/4 cupwater for drizzle

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Soaked rice 4 hours or overnight.

    Grind fine paste by adding some water, coconut and salt to taste.

    Transfer the batter into a bowl.

    Adjust the water, batter should be like milk consistency.

    Heat odu or mud(earthernwear griddle)tawa.

    Smear 1 tsp coconut oil, drizzle few drops of oil.

    All of the sudden pour ladleful of batter, the batter will start perforating, cover a lid and cook in low flame for 3-4 minutes.

    Check the cookness.

    Take out of the tava and serve with sweet coconut milk.
