Rice Pudding with Cream

Pour the milk into a pot and heat over the stove until it comes to a boil.

Add the sugar, rice, vanilla, and cream to the milk.

Stir the mixture and let it boil again over high heat.

Once it boils, reduce the heat to low. You can place a heat diffuser under the pot if you like.

Cover the pot and cook for about 30 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the milk has thickened.

Spoon the mixture into small glass bowls and let it cool, then refrigerate until chilled.
