In a medium saucepan, sauté the beef over high heat. Stirring constantly to brown it. Add the onion, garlic and ginger and stir.

Add the spices and the beef stock tube, followed by the tomato and onion mix, then add the tomato sauce, stirring occasionally.

Finally add the carrots and a little water, mix well and simmer until cooked.

In another saucepan, place the potatoes and add water enough to cover them. Once cooked, drain excess water.

Add the salt, margarine and milk and mash. Remove from heat.

To serve: Cut bread into four equal quarters and scoop out the inside of the bread. In each quarter, Place a large serving spoon of the potatoes in the middle and spread, followed by the beef mixture, and a little atchaar. Lastly cover with the bread that was scooped out.
