Ingredients

  • 3 tbspoil
  • 2bay leaf / tej patta
  • 2 inchcinnamon stick
  • 1star anise
  • 5 cloves / lavang
  • 4cardamom
  • 1/3 tsppepper
  • 1/2 tspjeera
  • 1medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 tspginger - garlic paste
  • 5beans chopped
  • 1small godi
  • 1/4 cuppeas / mattar
  • 1carrot chopped
  • 1potato cubed
  • 1 cupcurd/ yogurt
  • 1/3 tspturmeric
  • 1 tspred chilli
  • 1/4 tspJeera powder
  • 2 tspbiryani masala
  • to tasteSalt
  • 6 tbspcoriander leaves finely chopped
  • 10mint leaves roughly chopped
  • 6 tbspfried onion
  • 1 1/3 cupbasmati rice soaked in water for 30 minutes
  • 2 cupswater

Steps

  1. 1

    Firstly, in a large cooker heat oio and saute spices.

  2. 2

    Further, saute onions and ginger - garlic paste well.

  3. 3

    Additionally, add in mixed vegetables and saute till all vegetables shrinks.

  4. 4

    Now add in curd keeping flame on low.
    also add in spice powder and salt to taste. mix well.

  5. 5

    Also add in coriander leaves, mint leaves and fried onions.

  6. 6

    Spread soaked basmati rice.

  7. 7

    Further sprinkle biryani masala powder and salt.

  8. 8

    Also place in coriander leaves, mint and fried onions.

  9. 9

    Additionally, pour in saffron water and ghee

  10. 10

    Pour water and simmer for 25 minutes.
    finally, now serve veg biryani.
