Ingredients

1medium onion chopped
1 cuppearl barley
1/2 cupslivered almonds or pine nuts
1/4 cupbutter
1/2 cupfresh parsley
1/4 cupgreen onion
29 ozbroth

Steps

Saute the onion, barley and nuts in the butter until the barley is browned
2

Stir in parsley and green onion
3

Transfer to a greased baking dish and add the broth
4

Bake at 350°F for 1 1/4 hours or until the barley is tender and all the liquid is absorbed
