We needed instant comfort today, and this is what I came up with.

Get the ingredients together and beat the eggs. Pre heat the oven to 180º

Put the sugar and butter in the mixer and make a cream

Add the egg

And flour, cocoa, baking powder (little bit of egg, little bit of flour mixture until both are used up)

Finally add the pine nuts

Mix well

And put into a greased (butter or oil) baking tin. I'm using silicon these days.

Put in the oven (remember 180º) for 40 minutes

Take out and put on the rack to cool

Turn over

Cut a few ginger cubes into small pieces.

Cut the chocolate into cubes and put them in a small pan with the ginger pieces over a larger pan with lots of water. Heat gently so the chocolate melts and the ginger penetrates.

Pour the chocolate ginger mixture over the cake, spread and

Serve, and enjoy. It won't make the pain go away. But it will taste nice in a comforting way.
