Ingredients pic:

Take 1cup of daal in a cooker

Add 2 cups of water, 1/2 diced onion, 2 green chillies, curry leaves, salt to taste and a pinch of turmeric..cook till 1 whistle..

Once done open the cooker and stir the daal...

For seasoning: take a pan add mustard seeds and let it splutter..

Add onion, curry leaves and fry...

Saute the onion until it turns brown in colour...

Pour the seasoning on to the daal...

Add 1/2 tspn of ghee (clarified butter).. serve it hot with chapathis or rice..
