Ingredients

60 mins
30 servings
  • 250 gramsplain flour
  • 125 gramsmargarine or butter
  • 75 gramscastor sugar
  • 1 teaspoonbaking powder
  • 1egg
  • For plain biscuits: add 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • For chocolate biscuits: add 25 grams of cocoa powder

  1. 1

    Mix together the flour, margarine (or butter), vanilla essence, sugar and baking powder until it looks like breadcrumbs.

    Add the egg and mix until it forms a dough.

  3. 3

    Roll out the dough and cut out some shapes with cutters

    Place the biscuits on a greased baking tray. Bake for 15 minutes at 180°C or gas mark 4.

  5. 5

    When they cool go creative and decorate them!
