Kichadi is a side dish which has it's origin in Kerala. It has a yoghurt and coconut based white gravy. This is the palakkad iyer style of making kicchadi.

Steps

Chop ladies finger into small rounds.

Shallow fry ladies finger in oil. Add salt.

Make a smooth paste of coconut, green chillies and mustard seeds. At the end, add curd and just give a pulse.

Heat the above mixture. Just heat and do not boil so that the curd does not get split.

Add the ladies finger to the above mixture.

Splutter mustard seeds, red chillies and curry leaves. Add to kicchadi.

Adjust salt and water as per the required consistency.
