Ingredients

15-25 mins
2 servings
  1. 4-6large carrots coarsely chopped
  2. 1&1/2 cups full cream milk
  3. 1&1/2 cups sugar
  4. 10-15cashews chopped
  5. 3 tbspghee

Steps

15-25 mins
  1. 1

    Coarsely chop the carrots. Add a little water and grind to a smooth paste.

    In a pan heat full cream milk and bring to a boil.

    Add the carrot paste to the milk; cover & cook on a high flame.

    After 10 mins remove the lid and continue to cook on high flame

    Add the sugar now. It will release water. Wait for it to get absorbed fully

    Add the ghee and stir till Halwa separates from the pan.

    Garnish with chopped cashews (fried in ghee) or pistachios. Serve by itself or with vanilla icecream.
