Soak urad daal for 2 hours. After that grind well with just 1 or 2 spoons of water.

Add chopped onion, chopped curry leaves, chopped green chilli, chopped coriander leaves, crushed pepper corns, and salt.

Mix well and whisk till batter becomes fluffy.

Heat oil in kadai. Apply water on your fingers and take batter, with other hand to make hole.

Now drop in oil and cook till both sides seems crisp. Oil should be medium hot.

When done take out in plate and serve with freshly made coconut chutney.
