Steps

Heat oil and temper cumin seed bay leaf and red chilli whole

Add ginger paste and saute well adding salt and turmeric powder

Add cumin-coriander powder and red chilli Powder and mix

Add moong daal and mix well adding water

Boil it well till the daal is cooked

Add sugar and garam masala powder
- 7
Serve hot with plain rice and fried brinjal
