Ingredients

25 minutes
4 servings
  1. 2 cups poha thick variety
  2. 2medium size Onions chopped
  3. 1/2 teaspoonSugar
  4. 2 tablespoonsOil
  5. 1 teaspoonMustard seeds
  6. 6-7Curry leaves
  7. 2 tablespoonspeanuts fried or roasted
  8. 2green chillies chopped
  9. 1/2 teaspoonTurmeric powder
  10. 1/2 teaspoonsalt or to taste
  11. 1/2 teaspoonred chilli powder
  12. 1medium Potato boiled and cubed into 1 inch pieces
  13. 3/4 teaspoongaram masala
  14. 1 teaspoonLemon juice
  15. 1 tablespoongrated coconut
  16. 2 tablespoonsFresh coriander leaves chopped

Steps

25 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash the poha in a colander and keep aside. Poha should be moist thoroughly.

  2. 2

    Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and when they splutter add curry leaves.

  3. 3

    Sauté for half a minute and add onions and green chillies and continue to sauté.

    Add turmeric powder salt, red chilli powder, and mix. Sauté for two minutes and add potatoes

    Add the soaked poha and peanuts and mix well.

    Add sugar and garam masala and cook for 2 minutes.

  7. 7

    Add lemon juice and mix lightly. Garnish with grated coconut, coriander leaves and serve hot.
