2 cupspinto beans
1 cuplong grain rice
1 clovegarlic
4-6 cupswater
1onion (chopped)
to tastesalt, pepper
1/2 teaspooncumin
1bay leaf
1/2 teaspoonturmeric

1 cupshredded carrots

Steps

Add everything to pot except rice then, cook till beans are tender.

Add rice cook until rice is tender, then season to taste.

You can make some cornbread to go with.
