Ingredients

6 servings
  • 5-6 piecesfish - any medium to big fish suitable for frying ( I used black pomfret )
  • 2 tbspExtra hot red chilli powder
  • 1 tbspcoriander powder
  • 1 tbspfish masala (use any fish masala you have)
  • 1/2 tspcrushed black pepper
  • 2 tbspGinger garlic paste
  • 1/4 tspTurmeric powder
  • 1/2 cupCilantro leaves
  • 1/2 cupmint leaves
  • few strands of curry leaves
  • 3 tspSalt or as needed
  • 1/2lemon/lime juice
  • 1-2pearl onions
  • Vegetable/Cooking  oil needed for frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Take all the ingredients except fish and grind it in the mixer to form a think paste. Add some water if needed .

  2. 2

    Marinate the fish with the spice paste and keep it for an hour or so if possible. You could freeze the marinated fish and use it as later as needed .

  3. 3

    Fry (deep or shallow) the fish in any kind of vegetable oil. I used sunflower oil.
