Ingredients

3 servings
  1. 1 cupsoaked Chana dal(soak for 4-5 hrs)
  2. 1 cupsoaked rice (soak for 30mins)
  3. 2chopped onion
  4. 2chopped tomato
  5. 4garlic crushed clove
  6. 1 tspjeera / cumin
  7. 3 tspghee
  8. 1bay leaf
  9. 1/2cinnamon
  10. 1.5 tspsalt
  11. 1 tspmirchi / chilli powder
  12. 1/2 tsphaldi / turmuric powder
  13. 1/3 tspgaram masala
  14. 4 cupwater

  1. 1

    In a pressure cooker pour ghee,, add jeera, bay leaf, cinnamon.

    Now saute garlic and onion and add tomatoes.

  3. 3

    Add all the spices(except garam masala)and cook on simmer for 10 mins.

    Pour water, let it boil then add chana dal and rice.

    Now close the lid cook till 2 whistles come.

  6. 6

    Once lid opens, sprinkle garam masala and coriander and serve it with favorite chutney.
