Ingredients

4 (about 20 smallish nuggets)
  • 250 grground chicken
  • 1/2Granny Smith apple, grated
  • 1/2 tspgarlic paste
  • 1 tspgrated onion
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1 pinchcelery salt (or two)
  • 3 tbspbreadcrumbs + more (for coating)
  • Oil for frying (about 4-5 tbsp)

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine ground chicken, grated apple, garlic paste, grated onion, salt, celery salt, and breadcrumbs. Mix and knead well.

  2. 2

    If it is too watery, add more breadcrumbs. If it is too solid, add more grated apple.

  3. 3

    Form nuggets and coat with breadcrumbs.

  4. 4

    You can fry the nuggets right away, but I usually put them for an hour or two in the fridge. You can also leave them overnight. If you plan to cook it within a couple of weeks, put them in the freezer.

  5. 5

    Heat the oil in a pan. I usually use medium heat.

  6. 6

    Arrange the nuggets in the pan. Flip after a couple of minutes.

  7. 7

    When the nuggets feel firm and they have turned golden brown, they are ready.

    I added the nuggets to my kids' bento.
