Ingredients

20 minutes
2 servings
  1. 1/2 cupquinoa
  2. 1/2 cuptuwar dal/ masoor dal
  3. 5 cupswater
  4. 1small brinjal
  5. 1/4 cupchopped carrot
  6. 1/4 cupFrench beans
  7. 1chopped potatoes
  8. 1/2capisicum
  9. (can use any combination of vegetables)
  10. 1 1/2 tbspSambar powder
  11. 1 1/2 tsptamarind paste
  12. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  13. Salt to season
  14. as neededOil and ghee
  15. 1 tspmustard seeds
  16. 1broken red chilli
  17. leavesFew curry
  18. Coriander to garnish

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash quinova with fresh water 3 to 4 times and keep aside. Wash the dal and keep aside.

  2. 2

    Heat a pressure pan with 2 tbsp oil. Temper with mustard seeds, broken red chilli and curry leaves.

  3. 3

    Now add the chopped vegetables. Potatoes, beans, carrots in order. Saute for few seconds. Now add the remaining vegetables and saute.

    Add the quinova and tuwar dal. Mix.

    Add the spice powders and salt to season and tamarind paste.

    Add water and pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles.

    Let the pressure release naturally then open. It should have a little thin consistency else can add little water and simmer for few minutes.

    Now add ghee and chopped coriander.

    Serve immediately.
