Ingredients

5 servings
  1. 2 cupsbajra
  2. 1 cupJaggery
  3. 1 tspGinger powder
  4. 1/2 tspCardamom powder
  5. 1/2 cupGhee
  6. 12Cashewnuts
  7. 20Kishmish
  8. 1 pinchSalt
  9. 10Dates soaked in 1 cup milk
  10. 1 cupWater

Steps

  1. 1

    Dry roast bajra for about 10 minutes on medium flame till an aroma starts coming.

  2. 2

    Transfer it to a plate to get it cool down.

  3. 3

    Make a coconut Jaggery syrup by crushing Jaggery and boil it in a pan with water.

  4. 4

    Boil it.stirring it constantly until it comes to syrup consistency.

  5. 5

    Filter it and keep aside.

  6. 6

    Grind the roasted bajra in a grinder.Make a powder by seiving and grinding one or more time.

  7. 7

    Transfer it into a big bowl.

  8. 8

    Make small pieces of cashews.Roast cashews and kishmish in a hot ghee till golden brown.

  9. 9

    Now add Jaggery syrup,cashews,kishmish,cardamom, ginger powder and a pinch of salt in to Bajra powder.

  10. 10

    Add hot ghee and milk soaked dates.Mix well with wooden spoon.

  11. 11

    Make laddos with hands.Little pressure will be required by hands to make laddoos.Dates,milk and ghee make it easier in binding the laddoos.

    Can be stored for a fortnight
