Soak both urad dal and rajma overnight in enough water. Later drain them well.

Rinse it couple of times.

Drain again and add them in pressure cooker. Add 3 cups of water and stir well.

Pressure cook for 10-15 whistles on a high flame, till both have cooked softened.

Now, take a pan, heat 3 tblspn butter.

Add whole spices except red chilli powder and garam masala.

Saute till the spices becomes aromat then add finely chopped onion.

Stir well and saute till they become light golden brown.

Add green chillies and stir.

Add tomato puree and add red chilli powder and garam masala.

Stir very well and saute this mixture on a low to medium flame.

Then add cooked urad dal and rajma and also add 1 cup of water or as required.

Stir very well. Once the dal makhani has begin to thickened, add salt as required. Add 1/4 cup cream.

Stir very well and switch off the flame.

Add methi and stir again.

Now,serve dal makhani and garnish with chopped Coriander leaves and a few teaspoon of cream with naan,tandoori roti, chpatis or rice.
