Steps
- 1
Mix all purpose flour, semolina and custard powdered till it's combined well.
Add the powdered sugar into it and slowly add ghee till a smooth dough is formed. The amount of ghee will depend a bit on the type of flour. - 2
Line a baking tray with parchment paper and keep it ready.
Preheat the oven at 160-180 degree celsius for atleast 10-12 minutes. - 3
Pinch out small balls from the dough and make small smooth balls and place them on the parchment paper.
- 4
Make a small criss cross slit at the centre and sprinkle some very finely chopped nuts on the nankhatai.
- 5
Bake these for 15-17 minutes or till the sides appear a bit golden in colour.
Remove the baking tray from the oven and allow the nankhatai to remain in the tray for 4-5 minutes. - 6
Gently remove the nankhatai from the tray and place them on a wire rack and allow them to cool well.
Store in airtight containers and enjoy them.😊
