Wash the yams before peeling.

Peel and cut each of them in four pieces, vertically, I find this cutting style unique.

Wash them in enough water, twice.

Put them in a pot and add very little water and some salt to taste. (for this I only used two cups of water?

Cover them nicely to ensure the pressure remains inside...

Boil them on low heat for about half an hour.

Serve with tea or coffee.
