Ingredients

  1. 1medium size cauliflower (Gobhi)
  2. 4-5medium size potato (aaloo)
  3. 1tomato
  4. 2large onions
  5. as neededcoriander leaves (dhania) for garnish
  6. 4 teaspoonchopped ginger
  7. 1/2 teaspoonturmeric powder (haldi)
  8. 1 teaspoonred chilli powder
  9. 1/2 teaspoongaram masala powder and salt as required
  10. 4 tablespoonoil or ghee

Steps

  1. 1

    First chop 1 medium size cauliflower in medium florets. And chop potato as well. Rinse the vegetable in water. Then chop onion and tomato.

  2. 2

    In a kadhai or thick bottom pan, heat oil or ghee. After add the onion and tomato, stir it well.

  3. 3

    Add the chopped ginger and spice up with turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. stir well

  4. 4

    After 2-3 minutes, add the couliflower and patato. And stir again very well. Leave it for 20-25 minutes on a low flame. Cover the pan with it's lid.

  5. 5

    In between for a couple of times, remove the lid and stir the aalo Gobhi well. Cover and then again continue to cook. Do not add any water.

  6. 6

    Once the potato and cauliflower have cooked, sprinkle garam masala powder and mix it.

  7. 7

    At last garnish aalo Gobhi Sbzi with a few coriander leaves.

  8. 8

    And serve with rotis or pranthas.
