Steps

Boil the dal in a pressure cooker

Heat oil and temper cumin seed bay leaf and red chilli whole

Add ginger paste and saute well

Add cumin-coriander powder and red chilli Powder

Mix well adding salt and turmeric powder
- 6
Add the boiled dal and sugar
- 7
Simmer for a while and switch off
- 8
Serve it with rice and fried vegetables
