Ingredients

3 servings
  1. Halwa : semolina
  2. 1/2 cupdesi ghee
  3. 1 1/2 cupsugar
  4. 3 cupswater
  5. as neededSlivered almonds, coconut scrapes and raisins
  6. For Potato Curry:
  7. 4boiled potatoes
  8. 1 tbsp chopped green chilies
  9. 1 tspturmeric powder
  10. salt to taste
  11. to taste red chilli powder
  12. 1 tspChopped ginger
  13. 1 tsp garam masala
  14. 2 tbspoil
  15. 1 cup soaked black Channa,
  16. to tastesalt, red chilli
  17. 2 tbsp Chanamasala
  18. 1 cup wheat flour
  19. 1/4 cup sooji
  20. 1/2 tsp salt
  21. 1/2 cupFresh tomato paste
  22. fresh Coriander
  23. For Channa
  24. 2 tbspcoriander powder,
  25. Puri
  26. as neededCarrom seeds, chilli flakes, oil to fry

Steps

  1. 1

    Halwa : Heat ghee in a wok, add semolina and saute till it turns brownish and fragrant. Boil sugar in water and add in semolina. Add nuts and stir constantly till it leaves the sides of the wok.

    Potato Curry: Heat oil in a large Pan, add cumin seeds and chopped green chilies and ginger, saute, add tomato paste and saute.Add salt, turmeric, spices and boiled potatoes slightly mashed. Add water and boil till cooked

  3. 3

    Black Channa: Heat a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds and chopped green chilies and ginger. Add salt, Chanamasala, soaked Chana and water. Cook till completely done

  4. 4

    Masala Puri : Mix all the ingredients and knead the dough with little water. Make Puris and serve.
