Interesting recipe for winters as it’s a local product easily available and very high in nutritional value.

For Shammi take roasted or boiled Shakarkandi Peel it and add finely chopped green chilli, broken walnuts, lemon juice ginger garlic paste, chat masala, lemon juice, salt, and finely chopped coriander roots make dough.

From dough make small patties and roll it over roasted white sesame seeds.

On medium heat add ghee on tawa and ghee roast Shakarkandi patty for 5-6 mins. Serve it hot.

For gel chutney. Boil dried apricots for 10-12 mins or till it gets soft. In mixing jar add green chilli, salt, ginger, black salt, black pepper, cumin powder, mint leaves, lemon juice and boiled apricot. Blend it till smooth paste. Serve it on top of Shakarkandi Shammi.
