Ingredients

  • 1/2 poundbacon
  • 3-5 cupshashbrowns
  • 1/2small carrot
  • 1 tsp.sea salt
  • 3/4 tsp.ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cupsshredded cheddar cheese
  • 3green onions, chopped

Steps

  1. 1

    Put bacon strips on a large baking pan and place on middle rack of a COLD oven. Set the temperature to 400 degrees. Bake for 15-20 minutes and check the bacon. If it's crispy, it's ready.

  2. 2

    Prepare another baking pan, pour hashbrowns into the pan, stir some bacon grease into the hashbrowns, and bake for 15 mins.

  3. 3

    Chop green onion, shred carrot. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Chop the bacon into small pieces. Mix everything including seasoning with hashbrowns. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Bake an additional 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Finally sprinkle green onions just before serving.
