I love onion rings, but I love it more when I could make it myself at home, it’s more tasty, crunchy. The secret of crispy and puffy of my onion rings is that I’m using beer in to my batter. If you are non alcohol person, you can substitute with soda water. If you want a super tasty onion rings don’t skip the seasonings and don’t forget the herbs, that’s the key!

Ingredients

2 people
  1. 1 cupall purpose flour plus extra for dry coating
  2. 2 tbspcorn flour
  3. 1whole white onion
  4. 1/2 tspsalt
  5. 1 cuplight beer
  6. 1/4 tspwhite pepper
  7. 1/2 tsponion powder
  8. 1/4 tspgarlic powder
  9. 1 tbspItalian herbs
  10. 1/2 tspbaking powder
  11. Oil for frying

Cooking Instructions

    Peel the onion and cut in to rings 1/2 cm. And coat with the flour, set aside

    Mix the flour, corn flour, salt, herbs, onion powder, white pepper, garlic and baking powder, mix throughly until combined.

    Pour 1 cup beer into dry ingredients and mix until smooth.

    Heat the oil using frying pan on 375 degrees. Using 1 chopstick dip the onion rings into the batter (one by one) and fry in to hot oil until golden brown each side. make sure don’t put too much onion rings into the frying pan. Drain into a paper towel until cool and ready to serve with your dipping sauce
