In general, this vegetable is bitter, so not everyone likes this vegetable. This bitter gourd has vitamin content which is quite diverse such as vitamins A, B, and C which functions to increase immunity, and insulin which can reduce blood sugar levels and leshitin which can fight cancer cells.

In general, this vegetable is bitter, so not everyone likes this vegetable. This bitter gourd has vitamin content which is quite diverse such as vitamins A, B, and C which functions to increase immunity, and insulin which can reduce blood sugar levels and leshitin which can fight cancer cells.

Cut the bitter gourd into two, and scoop out the seeds. Cut into 1/2 cm pieces.

Then squeeze the bitter gourd with 1 tablespoons salt until tender and foamy to reduce the bitter taste. (I like little bit hard so taste still bitter and crunchy). Wash and drain.

Heat oil and saute spices, salam leaf, and galangal until fragrant, than add bitter gourd and shrimps.

Pour little bit water and add salt and sugar. Cook until the gravy is completely absorbed.
