Indians are fond of desserts. A meal is incomplete if you don't serve the dessert at the end. Therefore, it is very important to incorporate some of your innovations with the dessert as well. This is one such kind of my innovation which turned out to be superhit! In this recipe, you will get the crunchiness of the fried bread along with the taste of the kheer.
Steps
- 1
Cut the sides of the bread and cut it into four equal halves. Therefore you shall get 16 pieces of bread from the 4 pieces.
- 2
In a wok, heat 2 tablespoon ghee and 1 cup vegetable oil.
- 3
Add the bread pieces and deep fry them. Keep it aside.
- 4
In a separate wok, add the milk and boil it for sometime till it evaporates and the quantity becomes half. In other words, you must make the milk thicker.
- 5
Add the khoya and mix it well. Add the condensed milk (keep 2 tablespoon aside for garnishing).
- 6
Add some sugar. Note that you have already added the condensed milk which is sweet. Therefore, don't add too much of sugar.
- 7
Wait till the milk thickens like a "rabri". Add the green cardamom powder and remove it from the flame.
- 8
In a plate, keep the fried bread pieces and put the thickened milk on it. Garnish it with some condensed milk. You may also add some dry fruits if you want.
- 9
Enjoy it as a dessert.
