In a pan heat oil and add asafoetida, Cumin, mustard seeds, curry leaves. After that add chopped onion and chopped potatoes (make very thin slices). Fry it well till onion become brown. Now add sprout moth beans, Desiccated coconutand fry for 2-3 minutes. Now add sugar, salt, chilli powder. Add water and let them boil for around 10 minutes. Add garam masala and boil for 2-3 minutes more. Off the flame. Add coriander leaves.
